Put the ends of the paracord through the wholes that correspond to the side the cord is on.

You also want to make sure you are twisting the cords in the same direction with each weave. You do not want to let them go slack because it will put slack into the previous weaves. Turn the knife over and repeat the same process, keeping the cords tight. Adjust your weave so that the twisted part is centered on the handle. Take your other hand and stick your two fingers in between the pieces of paracord and twist them together twice and then bring the ends of the paracord over the knife so that they are facing away from you. Turn the knife over so that the two lengths of paracord are coming towards you. Hold the paracord tightly in place with your thumb and index finger. Start with the knife blade towards you, and bring the center point of the paracord to the base of the blade. Fold your length of paracord in half in equal lengths, and melt the ends to prevent fray and make them easier to work with. The length of paracord you will need will be determined by the length of your knife handle, but 10’ should be enough for most handles. Cut the excess and melt the end to the wrap, pressing it flat with your lighter.įor the strider weave on a CSART you will need about 10’ of paracord. Once you get to the end of the wrap at the bottom of the handle, simply put the last wrap over your finger and put the remaining cord through it and then pull tight. Continue the wrap so that it is tight against the knife, making sure the wraps are not overlapping, but flush with each other. Start the pre-wrap at the base of the blade and wrap over the starting end of paracord to hold in in place. We will be using SurvivorCord or WarriorCord.
